On-Site Repairs & Maintenance Services
Many minor hearing aid issues can be fixed on the spot during a short appointment at any of our South East Queensland clinics:
- Deep Cleaning & Wax Removal: Micro-vacuuming receivers, acoustic tubing, and microphone ports to restore full volume.
- Parts Replacement: Replacing worn ear hooks, acoustic tubing, custom domes, and wax filters (cerumen guards).
- Battery & Contact Cleaning: Resolving power failure issues, clearing battery door corrosion, and testing rechargeable lithium-ion battery health.
- Earmould Resealing & Retubing: Replacing hardened or yellowed tubing on custom earmoulds to prevent acoustic feedback (whistling).

Factory Repairs
If your hearing aid has severe moisture damage, casing fractures, or internal electronic fault requiring manufacturer laboratory repair, we manage the complete process for you:

- Out-of-Warranty Options: We provide, transparent quotes before sending any out-of-warranty device for factory overhaul.
Government Hearing Services Program (HSP) Maintenance
Are you an eligible pensioner or DVA cardholder? Under the Australian Government Hearing Services Program, you can access an annual maintenance agreement with us. This covers:
- All ongoing battery supplies (or rechargeable cord replacements).
- Free regular servicing, wax filter replacements, and minor repairs.
- Full coverage for major factory repairs and replacements.
Hearing Device Adjustments
If your hearing device is purchased from us at Hearing Aid Specialists Sth East Qld, you will never be charged for any adjustments or appointments. All of our hearing devices include this service and we do not believe in charging customers extra for customer service.
If you currently have hearing devices and did not purchase them from us, we can still make adjustments for a small fee. You will need to bring in an audiogram with your most current test so we can make the adjustments. If you do not have an audiogram, you need to have your hearing tested. We are able to program all hearing device brands sold in Australia. Those sold overseas may not be able to be programmed in Australia.
